The 2014 World Enduro Championship came to a thrilling conclusion on Sunday at Brioude in central France with two KTM factory riders fighting it out for the remaining title to be settled, the E3 class.  Australian Matthew Phillips eventually prevailed over team veteran Ivan Cervantes of Spain, winning by just nine points. Both Phillips and Cervantes were still nursing injuries.

The KTM factory team’s Cristobal Guerrero of Spain also put in a huge and heroic effort in E1 to finish the final round after fracturing his finger on Saturday. Guerrero rode with his finger splinted and strapped, managing to pick up five additional points for his eleventh place on Sunday to save overall third.

The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team on Sunday came away with 1-2 in the MX2 World Championship with factory riders Jordi Tixier of France and the injured Dutch rider Jeffrey Herlings finishing just four points apart in the final race of the season.

The MX2 title completes the set for the Austrian brand after Red Bull KTM’s Antonio Cairoli of Italy wrapped up the MXGP title last weekend in Brazil.
